The Healthier Materials Lab is a design research lab at Parsons School of Design dedicated to investingating the human impact of materials used in architecture and design. While the Lab focuses on design materials, many of the findings can be applied to art making materials as well.

In a 6-part series, 99% Invisible explores how climate change is laying bare the vulnerabilities in the American built environment and how communities across the country have been left to bootstrap their own survival.

Using the anthotype process, it is possible to print photographs using nothing but juice extracted from the petals of flowers, the peel from fruits and pigments from plants. We’ll share instructions for making anthotypes.
